Meet the Physicians

Dr. ANNAMANENI is a board certified general surgeon, who graduated from medical school at the Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India in 1988.  He completed surgical training in India in 1993 then received further advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom by 1998.  He then moved his family to the USA and completed general and specialized surgical training at New York Medical College, New York in 2004.  He then pursued a specialist training and gained a Colo-Rectal and Laparoscopic Fellowship in 2005. Being only trained colorectal surgeon in the area, his Special Interests are management of benign and malignant colorectal polyps, anorectal conditions including rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids, fistulas, warts and bleeding. Trananal endoscopic microsurgery, advanced laparoscopic colon surgery and other minimally invasive endoscopic colon procedures are his other interests.

Dr. STRAUTHER is a board certified general surgeon, who graduated from medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his surgical training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Saint Louis, Missouri in 2000.  He then completed a specialist training and gained a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care in 2001.  He has a wife and three children.

Dr. GOODMAN is a board certified general surgeon, who graduated from medical school at the University of London, England, in 1984.  After undergoing surgical training in the United Kingdom and obtaining trauma experience in South Africa, he came to the United States in 1992 and completed his US surgical training at York Hospital, Pennsylvania in 1996.  He was in solo practice in central Pennsylvania until he moved to Fayetteville in 1999.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  Dr. Goodman served as President of the Cumberland County Medical Society in 2007, and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Cape Fear Valley Health Systems.  His special interests are breast and thyroid surgery, and advanced laparoscopy including laparoscopic colon resection.  Dr. Goodman's wife is trained as a pediatric ICU nurse; they have four children.
